Literature Text

Your hair is a grove of willows
Caught in an Alpine wind
When you walked by and caught my eye
I swear I heard them sing;
Your skin is Arctic powder
Or moonlit Saharan sands
And smooth like silk from China
Wrapped around your hands;
Your eyes are Nippon suns
Over the hills of your cheeks
That dance across old Hellen’s skies
Painting golden streaks;
Your lips are sandy shores
Of some great Persian bay
O how I wish to be lost
Adrift that tossing spray;
Your hips are sacred shrines
High above Nepal
Should I have them ‘twixt my arms
I would pray till night fall;
Your back is a Russian steppe
Glistening with summer’s rain
And the freckles on your shoulders
Are the trees that dot the plain.

And I want to map your loveliest curves
With the compass of my hands
I want to hold golden treasures
From all your distant lands

And everything you do
Puts to shame the brightest stars
And all I want to tell you is
What a beautiful world you are.

This is an excellent piece; I can't believe you haven't gotten any comments on it. I only have one thing to point out:

"And smooth like silk from China"

In every other one of the phrases you use metaphor, but you chose to use simile in this case. That's fine for creative purposes, but you added an extra beat in there with the 'like'. I suggest you remove it.
